- 5 Volt, 2 Amp high efficiency switching power supply – to power the RPi from a battery pack, 6V – 14V input voltage range.
- Laptop style power button. One button for on, off and reset. Complete disconnection of the battery when switched off – zero power drain.
- Proper shutdown procedure, power is only removed after the Pi has acknowledged the shutdown command. Battery level monitor with low battery safe shutdown.
- Start up battery check, the Pi will not be switched on if the batteries are too low. Battery level indicator – Green for good, orange for medium, red for low, slow flashing red for very low, fast flashing red for shutting down.

- The Arduino runs the power control system – there is plenty of space available for custom code.
- I2C and SPI communication between the Arduino and RPi, with headers available for custom use.
- Fully programmable from the RPi – no USB connection required, the Arduino development environment can be run within the RPi desktop.

- Battery screw terminals
- 2 x Motor dual screw terminals 2 x Servo motor connectors – For controlling two hobby servos, uses 2 RPi GPIO pins
- Connector for the Red Robotics LaserTanks IR Board.
- I2C Header
- SPI Header
- Direct connection of NRF24L01 Wireless Transceiver
- All unused Arduino pins available on headers
